Semi-Private Personal Training
How It Works:
Follow a structured program led by an experienced coach, in the safety of your own space. This personalized setting provides in-depth instruction while focusing on your specific goals. It’s just as good as private personal training at a fraction of the cost, and with the added motivation from your workout partners!
Sessions: semi private personal training sessions can be either 2 people (semi2) or 4 people (semi4) and are taught by one of our experienced coaches! Each participant will workout in their own individual space where they have access to all of the equipment they could need (squat rack, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, bands, bench, etc.) Sessions are 55 minutes long and are structured so that participants are working on the same movements (with variations provided for all experience levels) at the same time, and the coach is able to provide feedback on form and suggestions on how much weight to use.
Programming: Sessions will follow a pre-designed 1-2- or 3-day per week workout program that changes every 5 weeks. Each day of the program includes a joint mobility warm up, a power development segment, 3 strength supersets, and a cool-down stretch. The program is designed with all experience levels in mind and variations, modifications, and alternatives will be provided to assure that you feel like the workout is appropriate for you! Our coaches are also highly skilled at adapting based on injuries or discomfort, and can always provide further alternatives for you upon request!
Memberships: 1x per week, 2x per week, or 3x per week. These different options indicate how many visits are included in a given week, and each membership period is 4-weeks long. Sessions can be used within the 4-week membership period as desired, unused sessions will roll over into the next month with restrictions of 3 roll overs per month.. Memberships auto-renew every 4 weeks but you can cancel at any time.
Safety: Keeping our members healthy and safe has always been our number one priority
Why Semi-Private Personal Training in St. Pete Is the Best Option for Real Results
If you're researching personal training in St. Pete, Florida, you’ve probably come across a few different options: one-on-one personal training, small group fitness classes, and something called semi-private training.
So, what’s the difference? And more importantly, which one actually works best?
At Made Possible Personal Training, we offer one thing: semi-private personal training. And after coaching people of all experience levels for nearly a decade, we believe it’s the most effective, sustainable, and empowering way to train.
Whether you're brand new to fitness or currently working with a personal trainer, here's why switching to our semi-private model might be the smartest move you'll make.
What Is Semi-Private Training?
Semi-private training is personal training, just done smarter. You’re still getting a program written specifically for you, your goals, and your body, but you’re training in a room with up either one other person (semi2) or next to 3 other people(semi4), each doing their own thing, all being coached by one professional personal trainer.
This isn’t a bootcamp or a class.
It’s not small group training where everyone does the same workout.
It’s personal, just more dynamic.
Semi-Private Training vs. Small Group Training
In small group training, everyone is doing the same workout, regardless of age, injury history, strength level, or long-term goal. It can be fun and high-energy, but it’s not personal.
If you’re serious about getting stronger, moving better, and learning how to train with good form and intention, you need a more tailored approach.
In semi-private training, each person has their own customized program and moves through it with guidance from a coach. We're not just watching reps, we’re teaching you how to train so you eventually feel confident on your own.
That’s where real progress happens.
Why We Believe Semi-Private Training Is Better Than 1-on-1 Personal Training
One-on-one personal training is a great starting point, but it can come with downsides:
-
Less energy and motivation from being alone
-
Can create dependency on a single coach
-
Higher price point for the same long-term results
-
Limited exposure to different coaching styles
In our semi-private sessions, you still get individual attention. We start with a few one-on-one sessions to build trust, assess your movement, and design your plan. Then we move into semi-private sessions where:
-
You get coached closely on form, function, and progress
-
You train in a shared space with individualized programming
-
You benefit from a supportive, welcoming environment
-
You build independence instead of needing us forever
We don’t want to keep you reliant on us.
We want to teach you how to train so you can carry those skills anywhere.
The Skills Our Coaches Bring to Semi-Private Training
Every session at Made Possible is built on coaching—not just cheerleading.
Here’s what we focus on:
✅ Knowledge & Education
We don’t just tell you what to do—we explain why it matters. We help you understand how to train for your body, your injuries, and your goals.
✅ Patience
Everyone starts somewhere. We’re here to meet you where you’re at, not rush you into movements your body isn’t ready for. Whether you're 25 or 75, we take our time with you.
✅ Teaching for Independence
Our goal is that you don’t need us forever. We’ll guide, coach, and challenge you, but we’re also teaching you how to understand your body, your form, and your progress.
✅ Versatility
Our coaching team works together, not in silos. You won’t get stuck with one trainer’s style. You’ll be supported by a crew that communicates and collaborates to coach the room with care and consistency.
