Hey MPPTer’s~
You do not need a new diet. You probably just need to eat slower.
Most people rush through meals without even realizing it. Fast eating leads to poor digestion, less satisfaction, and more overeating. Slowing down may sound simple, but it has a huge impact on how your body feels and how much food you actually need.
Here is what happens when you eat slowly:
- Your brain has time to register fullness
- Your digestion improves because you chew more
- You feel more satisfied with less food
- You are more aware of your choices
In fact, studies have shown that people who slow down their eating tend to eat fewer calories and feel more satisfied. It is one of the easiest ways to change your relationship with food without cutting anything out.
Start by setting your fork down between bites. Breathe. Chew fully. Give yourself time to enjoy the meal you worked for.
It is not about eating less. It is about eating with more awareness
